OpenEdge Ranked Leading “Pure-Play” Embedded Database Management System Again
The Progress® OpenEdge business application development platform was ranked by IDC as the number one pure-play embedded database management system (DBMS) in the world in 2008 for the fifth consecutive year.
The platform achieved this ranking for each of the six reports by IDB for this market throughout the years. This, along with other findings, can be found in a report released on January 5, 2010 called, "Worldwide Embedded DBMS 2010-2013 Forecast and 2008 Vendor Shares."
